A 14-year old German boy was hit in the hand by a pea-sized meteorite that scared the bejeezus out of him and left a scar. He has survived a direct hit by a meteorite after it fell to earth at 30,000mph. Gerrit Blank, 14, was on his way to school when he saw "ball of light" heading straight towards him from the sky. The teenager survived the strike, the chances of which are just 1 in a million - but with a nasty three-inch long scar on his hand.

He said: "At first I just saw a large ball of light, and then I suddenly felt a pain in my hand. "Then a split second after that there was an enormous bang like a crash of thunder."

"When it hit me it knocked me flying and then was still going fast enough to bury itself into the road," Gerrit Blank said in a newspaper account. Astronomers have analyzed the object and conclude it was indeed a natural object from space.

Acceleration of a bullet, maybe more than 1000 mph, you can imagine a meteorite with 30,000 mph directly hit to his hand, in fact only small meteorite as small as a peanut, it will bring hard impact and permanent damage. Wow

Fortunately only one measurement of peanuts, Or a measurement of the watermelon seed
And the impact of his damage was possibly smaller...
How if the chip stone from comet "HALLEY" that was measuring 3x bigger than the earth, that fell on us ? Wow
